MindShift is an Erasmus+ partnership that creates practical, youth-friendly tools to support critical thinking, mental health, and life & career decision-making.

GOAL

Our goal is simple:
help young people feel more ready for life –
and give youth workers and educators better tools to support them.

Why?

The transition to adulthood has become increasingly complex due to digital information overload, rising mental health struggles, and overwhelming career choices. Young people often lack the skills, guidance, and accessible resources necessary to navigate these challenges effectively. Educators and youth workers, particularly in rural areas, also face difficulties in finding engaging, structured tools to support youth in these critical areas.

The research conducted aims to explore and compile knowledge on the key project themes: critical thinking, mental health, and
life/career decision-making. This is a foundational element of the project, ensuring that:

The educational resources are evidence-based and reflect best practices in youth support.
The project incorporates the latest scientific and practical insights into critical thinking, mental health, and decision-making.

Youth-friendly content is relevant, accessible, and aligned with young people’s real needs.
The partnership effectively identifies key actors and networks to enhance project dissemination.

After having necessary input from the research, the next activity focuses on creating high-quality, youth-friendly educational resources on the three project topics. The production will include:

  • Podcasts
  • Short Videos
  • Infographics, Handouts, and Tools for youth workers and educators
  • Publication and Dissemination

This activity focuses on providing resources and training to support youth help themselves. The main components include:
Developing in-depth articles that summarize key learnings from the project’s outputs, including podcasts, videos, and tools.
Digital outreach campaigns to promote project resources and engage young people through online platforms.
In-person and online events to train youth workers and young people in utilizing the developed resources effectively.

The activity ensures that:
Project outputs are integrated into engaging formats accessible to young people.

This activity aims to equip youth workers and educators with structured materials to facilitate workshops and training
sessions. The components include:

Developing structured training materials that can be used by educators and youth workers to engage young people in critical thinking, mental health awareness, and career decision-making.
Online training sessions designed to introduce the lesson plans and train youth workers in delivering the materials effectively.

This activity ensures that youth workers and educators are trained to effectively use the project’s materials.

Partners

MindShift is a collaboration between three youth-focused organisations from Estonia, Austria and Slovakia. Together, we are building a collection of accessible, modern resources that respond to the real challenges young people face today.
We combine researchco-creation with youth, and practical tools for professionals to make sure our materials are both evidence-based and genuinely useful in everyday life.

Estonia 🇪🇪

Ready for Life is a youth-founded organisation in Estonia. Their aim is to include more practical life knowledge to formal education. Eluks Valmis has been running for 4 years. During that time, starting as a small voluntary project, grown into an important youth training organisation on the youth work field in their country.

Slovakia 🇸🇰

EduEra was created to educate and inform young people and those who work with them. Today, we are creating these opportunities ourselves at an international level, focusing on building competencies in informal education, personal development, and other areas important for their progress.

Austria 🇦🇹

Coobra’s team members are experts in production of educational resources and digital content (often based on user-centred design thinking), youth work and youth work training at Austrian and European level (and reaching out to the respective actors), non-formal education and cross-sectorial co-operation in education, as well as
the design and facilitation of educational events (eg training courses and conferences).
